Freight Transport Bureau,
Department of Land Transport.
The Department of Land Transport (DLT) is the main regulatory body for road transport in Thailand, overseeing and regulating road users and vehiclesunder Motor Vehicle Act 1979 (B.E. 2522) and Land Transport Act 1979 (B.E. 2522). DLT aspires to be the enabler for efficient, safe, and inclusive road transport system. We also aim to provide reliable and accessible transport to support Thailand’s logistics system by harnessing road infrastructure and enhancing transport operators’ capability.
Freight Transport Operations Division
Oversees, regulates, and ensures that freight transport operations comply with applicable laws and established standards. The division is responsible for formulating relevant regulations, and supervising cross-border freight transport.
Freight Transport Development and Promotion Group
Studies, analyzes, plans, and develops the road freight transport system to enhance the capabilities of transport operators and personnel. The division is also responsible for developing road transport standards (Q Mark and Q Cold Chain).
Freight Terminal Division
Responsible for planning, developing, and overseeing freight terminals, including related infrastructure and facilities. The division also promotes investment and collaboration with the private sector to modernize and enhance the efficiency of freight terminals.
Transport Operator Information
The Department of Land Transport regulates and monitors road freight transport operators under both domestic and international frameworks. The transport operator under Land Transport Act 1979, as well as transport operators under related cross-border transport agreements are published here.
Q Mark Standards
The Q Mark is a quality certification standard developed by the Department of Land Transport, Thailand, aimed at raising the standards of road freight transport services. It serves as a mark of excellence, certifying that a transport operator meets the required criteria in areas such as safety, reliability, service quality, environmental responsibility, and professional management.
Q Cold Chain
Q Cold Chain is a specialized quality certification standard developed by the Department of Land Transport, Thailand. It is the certification fortransport operators who have high standards in the transportation of temperature-sensitive goods, such asfood, pharmaceuticals, and other perishable products.
